FEBRUARY, 2012

Troop voted to move Troop meetings to Monday evenings at the Old Library with PLC's being the 2nd Monday of each month. 

• Class A Uniforms Required - don't forget your neckerchief and sash
• PERMISSION SLIP & WAIVER FOR VERTICAL ENDEAVORS DUE (See below on 2-27 for info)

• You will need the Waiver Form and Permission Slip for Vertical Endeavors (Click on underlined for forms)
  • WAIVER FORM -  Click on "Digital Individual Waiver", complete the information online,
    print, sign and bring with you. 
  • PERMISSION SLIP - print form, complete and bring with you.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE TO PARENTS: Please stay until all have arrived as drivers may be needed.

MARCH, 2012

3/2 thru 3/4 ( Fri.-Sun.) - Indoor Campout, Rifle MB, AND Spring Court of Honor - Delano Sportsmens Club

• 3-2:  Arrive 7:00pm @ Delano Sportsman Club (wear footwear that can get muddy - driveway gets messy)
• 3-3:  Parents - Arrive 5:00pm for Dinner & Court of Honor (dutch oven dinners provided by scouts)
• 3-4:  Depart:  9:00AM from Delano Sportman Club
• IMPORTANT REMINDER:  SCOUTS MUST BRING CLASS A (Don't forget your neckerchief & sashes)

• SHOOTING WAIVER FORM DUE: 2-27-12 (click on underlined word for form)
• Rifle Merit Badge - scouts without a completed waiver form will not be permitted to participate on gun range

3/5 (MONDAY)  PLC and Committee Meeting - Delano LEGION (PLC @ 6:30 / Committee Mtg @ 7:30)

• PARENTS - you are invited to attend the Troop Committee meeting . . . where we review the
  calendar and due dates, talk about what's working well in the Troop and what could use
  improvements, discuss event details such as cost, drivers, permission slips, AND MORE!

3/11 (Sun) New Parent Orientation - Above Old Library - 4:00pm - 6:00pm

• Parents Only (but scouts are welcome to attend)
• Please bring paper and writing utinsel

3/12 - (MONDAY)  Troop Meeting @ Senior Apartments (Legacy - across from QVC) / 7:00-8:15pm

• Scouts will be playing variety of games with Seniors (Wii, chess, checkers, cards, board games)
• CLASS A required
• SIGN UP DUE ON 3-12-12 FOR FUNDRAISER EVENT or contact Melissa (see 3-18 below for details)

3/17 (Sat) Crow River Merit Badge Madness Day / St. John's Lutheran Church - Annandale / 8:00am - 4:30pm

• PERMISSION SLIPS & MERIT BADGE CHOICES (click here for permission slip) DUE:  2-27-12 to Melissa Portz 
• READ the merit badge handbook (Troop has some handbooks available at Delano Library: click here for list)
• Lunch provided (pocket change appreciated by your scout as snacks and beverages will be on sale
  as fundraiser for hosting troop - $2-$5 is ample pocket change)

• Note Pre-Requisites below.  Please complete before 3-17-12 or scouts will 
  only get partial credit.

3/18 (SUNDAY) - PHILMONT FUNDRAISER - Buffalo Cub Foods - 8am-5pm

• Contact Melissa Portz at 612.590.3453 by March 12 to sign up for your shifts
• Fundraiser for Scouts going to Philmont
• Need to make signs indicating who we are & what we are working towards
• Need 5-6 buckets indicating collection for fundraiser
• Shifts can be arranged as needed (only 9 scouts/parents per shift)

3/19 - (MONDAY)  Troop Meeting - Delano LEGION - 7:00-8:15PM
